eBookGuard: This program is for authors who want
to sell or distribute text material online. This program will encrypt
your text files or rich text format files. This includes an eBook reader
for displaying the document. Users cannot copy your files. This program
is ideal for authors who wish to sell books and/or technical
information online. This program works, optionally, with ShareGuard to provide a
lock and key system for selling e-Books.

2 Basic Components:
eBookGuard Publisher - allows you tailor your e-Book and to create your
document.
eBookGuard Reader - this program and the encrypted data is distributed.
Only the eBookGuard Reader can decrypt the document.

3 Basic Security Features:
eBookGuard Reader - the eBookGuard reader program will decrypt your
document and display it to the user. The user cannot cut and paste, print
or save the document.
eBookGuard User Encryption - the eBookGuard encrypts your eBook so that
only the specified reader program will be able to decrypt your document
and display it to the user.
ShareGuard (optional) - the ShareGuard program will check the licensing
of the eBook before allowing the program to run. If the user is not
licensed then the eBook will not display your eBook contents.

This program allows for marketing of books and/or upselling other
products by providing addtional marketing screens and/or AdWare programs to
run with the e-Book.

This provides a turnkey system to sell e-Books online and ensure that
only 1 user can read the book. The eBookGuard along with ShareGuard will
prevent users from copying your material or re-distributing the eBook.

This eBook system can be used to sell novels or code snippets or highly
technical information. Use eBookGuard to protect your intellectual
property.
